# Delete batch

DELETE https://aihub.instabase.com/api/v2/batches/{batch_id}

Delete a batch and all its files. This is an asynchronous operation that must be [checked for completion](/api-sdk/api-reference/jobs/job-status).

## Authentication

- `Authorization` header (bearer token, required) — Bearer HTTP authentication.

## Request

### Path parameters

- `batch_id` (integer, required) — The batch ID.

### Headers

- `IB-Context` (string, optional) — Typically your organization ID. See [Authorization and context identification](/api-sdk/authorization#ib-context-header) for details.

## Response

### 202

Batch deletion request accepted. [Poll the job ID](/api-sdk/api-reference/jobs/job-status) to check completion status.

- `job_id` (string, required) — The job ID of the operation. Use the job ID with the [poll file operation job status](/api-sdk/api-reference/jobs/job-status) endpoint to check batch deletion status.

## Errors

### 404 Not Found Error

Batch does not exist.
