Language support

Learn how to process documents written in different languages with these tutorials.

AI Hub’s language support varies:

  • Some languages work out of the box, others need configuration.

  • Support for printed documents is broader than support for handwritten documents.

  • The primary factor that impacts support is whether files are text-based (like Microsoft Word or Google Docs) or image-based (like JPG or PNG).

These tutorials don’t give configuration settings for specific languages. They discuss the purpose of each setting so you can experiment to find the best configuration for your document languages and types.

Non-default language configuration options may increase processing time, but won’t affect consumption unit cost.

These tutorials interact with documents via Chat, but the same language settings apply to Build and other AI Hub apps.

We recommend you follow these tutorials in the order listed.
