Developer learning path

The Developer learning path covers the work areas of developers and advanced developers. Learn to use the low-code/no-code app editor to build document classification and extraction apps. Then, scale into building advanced apps using the flow editor, Refiner, and custom Python code when projects require more complex logic and integrations. Regardless of your skill level and background, you’ll learn to design, automate, and deploy enterprise workflows in the AI Hub platform.

In some course content, you might see or hear AI Hub Build when referring to the app editor. These terms mean the same thing and reflect past versions of the AI Hub user interface. Similarly, Build projects and Build apps are synonymous with the projects and apps created with the app editor.

Path overview

The Developer learning path is a progressive curriculum that fits your goals and technical comfort level. For most builders, completing AI Hub fundamentals and App editor and standard apps is a natural stopping point—it covers what you need to build, validate, and deploy document automation apps without coding.

When your organization’s projects require custom code, deep integrations, or non-linear logic, the path continues into Flow editor and advanced apps. This module covers multi-stage pipeline orchestration with the flow editor, schema customization, and writing custom Python user-defined functions (UDFs).

Courses in this path

We recommend starting with AI Hub fundamentals if you’re new to the platform.
