End-to-end document workflows

Follow a document processing application from an app run through result review, human-in-the-loop correction, and data export.

Find in-depth information on working with apps in the App editor and standard apps course. While that course targets the Developer persona, a developer background isn’t required to create your own apps!

Running an app

This video shows how to find a published app in the Hub, start a run, and inspect results:

  • Browse or search the Hub for an app, then open it to review fields and samples.

  • From the App runs tab, start a run with sample files or your own uploads.

  • After processing finishes, open the run to compare source files with extracted field values.

Reviewing app run results

After a run completes, open it by run ID to validate extractions and documents. The interface is organized into three panels:

  • Left — Document list, filterable and groupable by file name or document class.

  • Center — Document preview.

  • Right — Detected classes and extracted fields.

Click a field to highlight its source on the document. Double-click to correct a value and use the edit history to track changes. Status icons show whether validation rules passed or need attention. You can also view OCR text and search across long documents.

Exporting results

After a run is complete, export structured results for downstream use:

  1. Open the completed app run and confirm results are available.

  2. Select Export results.

  3. Choose Excel or CSV, then download locally or save to a connected drive.

Organization admins can choose to disable local download.

Exported data can feed deployments, integrations, or custom workflows.
