Managing workspaces

Create shared workspaces, update settings, manage workspace members and roles, and designate production environments.

Creating shared workspaces

Shared workspaces isolate projects and data and enable collaboration. Create them from Settings > Workspaces, then add members and assign workspace roles.

Updating workspace settings

Designating production workspaces

Mark a workspace as production when it holds operational workflows, so teams can keep development and production separate.

Deleting workspaces

Deleting a workspace permanently removes its projects, runs, and related resources—use it only when that work is no longer needed.

Changing members’ workspace roles

Walk through updating a member’s workspace-level role when their responsibilities change. Each workspace role includes all permissions from lower-level roles, plus additional capabilities. As a best practice, follow the principle of least privilege: assign the lowest role that still lets a member do their work, and grant a higher role only when their responsibilities require it.

Roles are assigned on a workspace-by-workspace basis, meaning someone can have different roles across multiple workspaces.

Removing members from workspaces

Remove someone from a workspace when they no longer need access there, without removing them from the organization.
