Add documents to a conversation

Upload documents to a specified conversation.

There are some limitations when uploading files to a conversation:

  • Files can be up to 50 MB or 800 pages.
  • You can upload up to 100 MB per request.
  • You can have up to 100 documents per conversation.
  • There are specific supported file types

The conversation ID.

You can list conversations and get their IDs with the List conversations endpoint.

Bearer authentication of the form Bearer <token>, where token is your auth token.

IB-ContextstringOptional

Specify whether to use your community account or organization account to complete the request. To use your community account, define as your user ID. To use your organization account, define as your organization ID. If unspecified, defaults to community account context. See Authorization and context identification for details.

Request

This endpoint expects a multipart form with multiple files.
filesfilesRequired

The documents to be uploaded.

process_filesbooleanRequired

Flag to indicate whether the files should be processed after upload.

Response

Documents uploaded and processed successfully.

upload_statusobjectOptional

Summary of the upload status for uploaded files, divided into success and failure.
